Coating
The coating is applied in high-tech systems in
Bernburg.
In this process, multiple layers of metal and ceramics are applied to metal substrates in a vacuum.
The environmentally friendly
PVD (physical vapour deposition) technology is used, in which both electron bem vapour deposition and sputtering are applied.
Almeco coats the aluminum and copper substrates in a continuous air-to-air process.

The entire coating process is seamlessly monitored.
For absorber layers, such as central parameters as absorption, emissivity, and color values are continually recorded online with ellipsometers and spectrometers; the reflective properties of mirror layers are recorded.
Tests on samples to determine durability and adhesion based on the
IEA's Task X round off this comprehensive quality assurance program. In addition, experienced quality engineers carefully visually inspect all absorbers.
The PVD process not only ensures the highest quality coating; it is also very environmentally friendly.
The technology has no emissions at all, so there is neither air nor water pollution.
In addition, there is no toxic waste. The vacuum equipment also consumes very little power.
